TOP 5 Things to do in Sydney if you don't want to be the typical tourist 3/3 - Beyond Sydney's Suburbs

Beyond Sydney's Suburbs
Last but not least I am going to talk about my personal TOP 5 activities beyond Sydney's Suburbs. You've been sticking around in Sydney for a while and think you're done? Sydney has got even more to offer! Think outside of the box. Sydney is located in a fabulous area which is also worth to visit. Here are my TOP 5 Things to see beyond Sydney's borders.

#1 Jervis Bay National Park
It is hard to describe what Jervis Bay is about. All I can say is: Get a car, drive down to Jervis Bay and make your own experiences. The Jervis Bay Territory is located 200 kilometers (3 hours by car) south of Sydney. With some of the whitest sand beaches in the world and beautiful turquoise waters Jervis Bay is definitely one of the best things that New South Wales has to offer.
The deepest Bay in Australia is about nine times bigger than Sydney harbor and offers more than 100 square kilometers of pure nature, cristal clear water and heaps of bush walk opportunities. This area is home for more than 120 dolphins and other kind of fish species. The marine park protects every kind of flora and fauna there - fishing and hunting is strongly prohibited. It's all about the untouched nature. Off-Screen time Guys. You won't have any reception there. Yay! This trip is perfect for those who love: hiking, relaxing at the beach, snorkeling, kayak paddling or a casual stroll along the beachside.
The probably best beach to go to in this area is Hyams Beach. It is considered to be one of the whitest and purest silica sand beaches in the world. Another pretty beach which is pretty quite and remote is Murrays Beach in Booderee National Park. Absolutely stunning!
Tipp: Start the day with a Dolphin-Tour-Cruise which is leaving from Huskisson Wharf. This tour gives you a great impression how epic the Jervis Bay proportions are. You could even do a half- or full day kayak tour if you prefer to. If you're a passionated hiker try the White Sands Walk and Scribby GumTrack walk with its 3 kilometer loop. It's a pretty good thing.

I am astounded how many people I talk to are not even aware of the Jervis Bay National Park and its unique wilderness beauty. Even better for you. Less crowded spots to discover. Are you planning to go there with your mates? The JB Beach House is probably the best option then. It offers up to six holiday cabins and plenty of spare space to throw a BBQ party.
Try it out guys. Jervis Bay offers you everything you can ask for. I can guarantee you that you're gonna have a splendid weekend with your mates or your partner there.

#2 Blue Mountains National Park
Just a one and a half hour ride west from Sydney you'll find the world-heritage listed Blue Mountains National Park. The Blue Mountains Echo Point lookout offers you a great panoramic view of Jamison Valley and the Three Sisters. Covered in bushland, millions of trees and towering sandstones this National Park is a real stunner! You can discover Aboriginal culture, heaps of walking tracks, camping, mountain climbing or bike activities.
My personal highlight is the Ruined Castle bush walk. The 12,4 kilometer long round trip takes between 6 and 7 hours. Hike this track through the deepest forests up to a natural rock formation which is going to offer you an awesome 360 degrees view over the blue mountains. It is absolutely worth it and is much better than the commercial used viewing platforms which are used by hundreds of tourists every day.
Even a guided Blue Mountains tour for about 89$ AUD is fun! The majority of tour-companies offer pick-ups in Sydney and provide you with lunch, some snacks and knowledgeable tour guides. Hit me up for some more information if you'd like some.

3# Royal National Park
A real beauty for Nature lovers with own car! The Royal National Park is located further south of Sydney in the Wollongong area. It is characterized by heaps of eucalyptus bush land, coastal cliffs and secluded beaches. Another great option for passionated hikers and nature lovers. This park has more than 100 kilometers of walking tracks with a very special scenery. I personally like Wattmolla Beach the best. When you're pining for the feel of sand between you're toes, go to this remote beach. The waves near the beach can be quite harsh and high. But no worries! There's a small canal with calm waters which is heading towards the waterfalls. It's a little bit like a Lagoon there, so pretty nice for families with kids. Make sure you head further inland by following the river towards a very remote bushland area. If you're lucky you can see some eagles there. I've taken some shots with the drone to show you how the beach looks like from above. Please let me know what you think about this beach!
